Tips
MLS predictions are scored from the same dataset shown on every fixture card: last five results, league position, home and away goal averages, head-to-head, injuries and suspensions, and bookmaker odds. The output is a market, a confidence score, and a short reason — MLS betting tips you can check against the price before kick-off, not against a hunch.
A coast-to-coast Saturday is not a European 15:00. Altitude, Gulf heat, and a midweek Leagues Cup or Open Cup tie change expected goals (xG) more than a conference table does. Head-to-head is often thin: most clubs never meet the other conference. A missing Designated Player shifts the XI before a market is chosen. From that set we publish MLS picks: a main market — often Total Over/Under 2.5, 1X, or a team total — plus 1X2 probability. MLS predictions today and Major League Soccer predictions follow the same card.
Major League Soccer is 30 clubs — 15 East, 15 West — late winter through autumn, 34 games each. Conference rivals twice; six matches against the other conference. No promotion or relegation: a closed shop with a salary cap and DP slots. The Supporters’ Shield goes to the best regular-season record; MLS Cup is a separate knockout. Eighteen reach the playoffs: top seven per conference into a best-of-three (every game has a winner — penalties after 90, no extra time); seeds eight and nine play a wild card. Later rounds are single-elim with extra time. MLS Cup is one match, hosted by the Shield leader.
DP-heavy sides price short, but the Shield winner is often not the Cup winner, and a Canadian club can take either. MLS tips have to price travel and the XI, not the star. An MLS prediction that treats a regular-season dead rubber like a best-of-three misses the totals.
